While Thana Slanvetpan – General Manager at AI and Robotics Ventures (ARV), a subsidiary of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), stated “It is undeniable that Robotic and IoT are the megatrend of this generation which play an important role in corporates catching up with the fast-paced industry. The technology is highly adaptable to a wider corporate industry including AgTech, EdTech, HealthTech as well as EnergyTech where ARV is the main platform in finding new innovations for the corporates with the focus on energy and resources. With plenty of new technologies, we still believe in the tried and tested skills and potential of Thai creators as seen from the underwater maintenance drone named Autonomous Underwater Vehicle which reduces risks on the human resources. The proudly Thai innovation is the first wireless underwater robot ever created in Southeast Asia. Likewise, the agricultural industry benefits from the use of drones for chemical application which reduces the risks of future developing deceases in human. Additionally, the technologies help improve the quality of services and maintenance with the assistance on advanced planning and optimum maintenance scheduling.

Guest speaker Prof. Dr. Pattarachai Kiratisin, MD, Director, Institution for Technology and Innovation Management, Mahidol University, discusses the use of AI and Robotics in the medical industry “One of the trends today is the development of Telemedicine application which is yet to answer to the real-world crisis. For example, there’s no discussion or development toward the treatment and prevention of tuberculosis which is still the world’s number 1 deadly decease. Telemedicine, however, is not the cure for the decease. Personally, my opinion is that we need to connect all 3 sectors including medical professional, technology, and investor together through platforms such as a meeting or discussion stage for corporates, health scientists and tech developers to create an insightful long-term investment with optimum results for the substantial capitals.”
