Pruksa Presents Q2 Result: Soaring 106%, Gearing up to Expand Healthcare Business

August 16, 2021- Pruksa Holdings announced its operating results for the second quarter of 2021, witnessing sales, revenue and profit increases while reaping 7,225 million baht in sales, growing 106% from the same period last year. In the first half of 2021, the total sales amounted to 14,165 million baht and rose 48%. In the latter half of the year, Pruksa is ready to fully gear towards digital marketing strategy, aiming to capture online customers through all touchpoints. ViMUT Hospital also anticipates hitting the year’s revenue target, while launching its latest “Safe Save Surgery” service, which offers emergent surgery and one-day recovery for surgical patients who cannot wait during COVID-19. Efforts are made to support readiness to elevate the standards of safety for patients receiving services at the Hospital.

Mr. Piya Prayong, Chief Executive Officer, Pruksa Real Estate Public Company Limited, reveals the second quarter 2021 results that “despite the economic contraction affected by COVID-19, housing remains one of the four fundamental factors and the market continues to demand. In addition, Pruksa has been adjusting its focus on leveraging its digital marketing strategy, together with its marketing promotion campaigns that cater to the changing lifestyles of the new generation customers. Pruksa, hence, successfully maintains its healthy business growth. In the second quarter, Pruksa achieved 7,225 million baht in sales, a robust growth of 106% and generated 6,334 million baht in revenue, 3% increase compared to the same period last year. The net profit came in at 427 million baht, rising 2% and the company was able to reduce inventory down to 58%. Besides, over this reporting period, Pruksa has launched 9 new residential projects, resulting in the total sales of 14,165 million baht, recording 48% growth in the first half. Pruksa reported 13,222 million baht in revenue, similar to the first two quarters of 2020 with a net profit of 1,034 million baht. In total, Pruksa has launched 14 new projects, worth 8,792 million baht in the first half of 2021.”

“In the latter half of the 2021, Pruksa plans to launch 15 new residential projects worth 17,838 million baht. After the lock-down measure for the construction worker camp has been eased, the company has resumed the construction under the Bubble and Seal measure. In the second half of the year, 7 condominium projects are under construction and will be delivered gradually within this year. Therefore, Pruksa is confident that the firm will meet its sales target and the expected revenue of 32,000 million baht.

Furthermore, Pruksa also focuses on expanding access to customers via online to cover all channels, while launching a campaign that meets the customers’ demands. In the third quarter, Pruksa is joining hands with ‘AIS’ to launch the campaign “Ultimate Promotion for more Joyful Living Experience” for customers offering an instalment waiver of up to 36 months, a waiver of common area expenses for up to 36 months and a waiver of all transfer-day expenses. Besides all the discounts, customers will also receive AIS Fibre Home Broadband Internet along with AIS PLAY package for one year. This collaboration will elevate and fulfill the living experience of Pruksa residents,” affirmed Mr. Piya.

Dr. Kritawit Lertusahakul, Chief Executive Officer of ViMUT Hospital Holding Company Limited revealed that “ViMUT Hospital has fully operated various service centers such as Diabetes and Endocrin Center, Heart & Vascular Center, Orthopedic Center, Neurology Center, Wellness & Check-UP Center, Skin and Aesthetic. During the COVID-19 pandemic, ViMUT Hospital has launched its latest service, “Safe Save Surgery”, a surgery that allows faster recovery by a team of experienced doctors with the state-of-art medical technology at appropriate prices. The Safe Save Surgery can be used for a variety of surgeries, such as gallstones, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, hernias, hemorrhoids, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, cataracts, etc., which will help save costs as it requires only one day recovery or as necessary. Patients can consult the doctor on a treatment and recovery plan before receiving a special price for the surgery. This is to help reduce expenses for all patients during the crisis. In addition, since May, ViMUT Hospital has been collaborating with the government agencies, including the Department of Disease Control, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc. to provide vaccinations under the government’s national vaccination program, with over 50,000 doses in total. As for the updates on Moderna vaccination, the reservation is now closed and the Hospital has completed the purchase of vaccines from the Government Pharmaceutical Organization for all those who received validated payment confirmation. The vaccination appointment date is currently being allocated. The Hospital expects to start receiving vaccines from October 2021 onwards (depending on the delivery schedule from the company).

It is expected that ViMUT Hospital will earn a total revenue of higher than target at 375 million baht to 500 million bath this year after its opening in May 2021, targeting to grow 15-20% next year. Meanwhile, the ViMUT Health Center at Pruksa Avenue in the Bangna-Wongwaen area is currently under construction. The total investment budget in this project is 150 million baht. Expected to open in late 2022, ViMUT Health Center will be a 50-bed health center that offers a wide range of services such as clinics, physical centers, care centers and geriatric care including Home Health Care services.

In addition, ViMUT Hospital has also elevated hygienic standards to ensure patients’ safety and confidence. For instance, before entering the building, visitors need to pass a screening system. For any risks of COVID-19, patients will be taken to the negative pressure room in the ER area. The exterior is equipped with HEPA air filtration system and UVC sterilization to mitigate the virus penetration. Furthermore, the seating areas across different centers are open space, specially designed to reduce congestion. The indoor air conditioning system also prevents the spread of virus as the the pressure, humidity and temperature will be adjusted at the right level at all times.
