Bangkok: Mr. Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Property Limited, a developer of One Bangkok has signed a new office leasing contract with Mr. Wynn Pakdeejit, Managing Partner, and Mr. Sorachon Boonsong, Partner at Baker McKenzie Ltd. Baker McKenzie, recognised as the world’s strongest law firm with 74 offices in 45 countries, is proud to underscore its unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. They will occupy a substantial space of approximately 10,000 sqm of Office Tower 4 at One Bangkok. Baker McKenzie is poised to utilise these new offices to conduct its business with an emphasis on the environment and sustainability, thereby pioneering the first-ever “Green Lease” contract in Thailand.

The pioneering leasing model marks an important step in uplifting office leasing practices by allowing landlords and tenants to jointly set clear sustainability goals as part of the conditions of their contracts along with guidelines toward sustainable practices in line with positive social and environmental impacts from the stage of design all the way to construction and operations.

One Bangkok and Baker McKenzie share the same vision of reducing environmental impacts and strive to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions while creating an indoor environment that promotes the well-being of all occupants. With sustainability in mind, Baker McKenzie has decided to sign a green lease, determined to design its office spaces for energy and water efficiency, implement efforts to reduce landfill waste and select decorative materials that are friendly to people and the environment alike, in accordance with LEED and WELL certifications.

The objectives are to improve energy and environmental management efficiency for enhanced well-being of all office users and increase employee satisfaction for improved productivity and performance. Baker McKenzie’s office decorations will be completed with a move-in schedule for the 4th quarter of 2024.
 

One Bangkok is Thailand’s first real estate development to receive the Platinum WiredScore certification.
