12 March 2024, Bangkok – MQDC, a leading real estate developer company, has appointed Mr. Suttha Ruengchaiphaiboon as CEO as it focuses on income generation and delivering its flagship project “The Forestias”. Mr. Visit Malaisirirat becomes Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Mr. Suttha Ruengchaiphaiboon, MQDC’s CEO, said: “MQDC is moving ahead with full force in 2024, targeting sales and transfers of 30 billion baht. Our flagship project ‘The Forestias’ is over 70% complete. The first phase of its residential projects is led by the condominium brand Whizdom. Residences now complete and ready for transfer and moving in include Whizdom The Forestias Mytopia and Whizdom The Forestias Destinia.

“Projects nearing completion for transfer this year include Whizdom The Forestias Petopia. Mulberry Grove The Forestias Villas, cluster homes for large families, and Mulberry Grove The Forestias Condominiums are also close to being finished.

“The Aspen Tree The Forestias, a community for residents of 50+, is near completion along with a luxury residential project with Six Senses, the global brand’s first resort-style homes.”

Mr. Ruengchaiphaiboon said that he will focus in 2024 on generating income for the company. MQDC has continued to build The Forestias since the outbreak of the COVID-19 crisis in 2020, without pausing this major development’s construction.

The first phase of The Forestias is now complete and ready for customers to move in. The next phase will be gradually completed for many more residential elements to transfer this year. MQDC will therefore focus this year on developing, selling, and delivering this district to customers.

MQDC will stress its strengths in 2024 beyond its mixed-use expertise. The company will continue to provide its 30-Year Warranty to reinforce its leadership in quality.

“This 30-year guarantee is a strong point and selling feature that MQDC offers to all its residents in every project, ensuring their satisfaction and confidence in MQDC,” Mr. Ruengchaiphaiboon said.

The 30-year warranty is overseen by MQDC’s Premium Care. The team’s experts reduce concerns about care and maintenance in 4 key areas: structural integrity, leak-free roofs, functional doors and windows, and fault-free pipes and wiring.

This warranty is an outcome of the MQDC Standard. MQDC’s Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) developed this standard for all the company’s projects. The criteria focus on energy conservation, durability, and quality of life, supported by research into human well-being.

Mr. Ruengchaiphaiboon will also continue MQDC’s key mission of sustainability. The company aims to lead in innovation for sustainability or “sustainnovation” while developing projects for good quality of life for all life under its commitment “For All Well-Being”.

MQDC has announced its goal of Nature Positive & Carbon Negative 2050, which became a principal objective in 2023.

“Becoming net negative for carbon by 2050 is a challenging mission. But I believe it can happen. We have worked with designers, consultants, and RISC, an agency set up specifically to research innovations for sustainability.

“Through our flagship project, The Forestias, we can reduce our carbon footprint by minimizing overall energy consumption. Through efficient energy management, the district cooling system, renewable energy from solar cells, and carbon dioxide absorption by trees we can cut annual carbon emissions by 40,000 tons,” Mr. Ruengchaiphaiboon said.

MQDC is targeting AI under its focus on leadership in innovation. The company’s joint research and development with world-leading institutions aims to enhance AI potential and efficiency. AI is being applied in administration, project development, and facility management at a pilot project within The Forestias.

Mr. Ruengchaiphaiboon has over 30 years of experience in property development. He has worked on major mixed-use projects in the United States including Harvard University Allston Science Complex Development, New York World Trade Center Redevelopment, Long Island Railroad East Side Access to Grand Central Terminal, and Los Angeles Airport (LAX) developments.

His projects in Thailand include True Digital Park. He worked at MQDC for 12 years before taking on his current role as CEO.
