In response to 2024 architecture trend, the event has been driving advanced technology to meet sustainability under a concept of “Collective Language”, organized by the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) and TTF. It showcases architectural communication regardless of border through pieces of works crafted by architects and designers, exhibitions and world-class innovative materials for building and construction. The six-day event is going to happen in April 30th – May 5th, 2024 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, with over 1,000 exhibitors and 325,000 visitors.

 Mr.Chana Sumpalung, president of The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), stated that architecture has been driven by advanced technology, sustainability and social change.

The design has changed into multiple-purpose in response to a factor of increasing number of populations from 8 billion to 10.4 billion by 2100. Even more for this year challenge, it has come up with a concept of being safer, more eco-friendly, and energy saving as a part of cultural diversity, innovation and sustainability.

Architect’24, which is going to happen in April 30th – May 5th, 2024 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, has revealed the world of architecture under a theme of “Collective Language”, inviting people for borderless architectural design exploration, which has no difference in a way of communication through language and cultural arts.  For over 90 years of effort, ASA has created movement through exhibitions and other events for a positive change in the society.

It is also a hub to display design showrooms and services, construction items, new technology and innovation related with architectural industry. With the ASEAN’s largest building technology exposition of its kind, the 75,000 square metre is occupied by products with up-to-date safety innovation, friendly and sustainable environment, also energy-saving.

Mr.Chutayaves Sinthuphan, co-chairman of Architect’24, further added an innovation of constructive materials will be highlighted, and visitors could come to update new trends in seminar sessions attended by both local and international experts to share opinions.

Keynote speakers are included Antoine Chaaya who is a significant partner of  Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW), Ma Yansong– reputed Chinese architect from MAD Architects, Marina Tabassum from Bangladesh who won Aga Khan Award, together with a couple of architects who are the founder of SHAU in Indonesia Daliana Suryawinata and Florian HeinzelmannErik LHeureux, Dean’s Chair Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore and Associate Professor Tonkao Panin, Ph.D. who is a founder of Research Studio Panin.

Ms.Kulthida Songkittipakdee, co-chairman of organizing the event, said that the main theme of “Collective Language” would present a diversity of both domestic and international architectural components through the world-class architectural workpieces from 12 leading architects in Asia, including additional masterpieces selected by ASA’s alliances from 22 countries under the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA). The exhibition of ASA All Member will guide the visitors to experience the organization culture and learn more about inspiration through display created by ASA member.

Prompt Udomdej; Ph.D., Co-chairman of organizing the event, said that the event has introduced Collective Experience”, a continued version of Human Library is presented last year. It is a space to share and transfer knowledge and experience with cozy talk, regardless of race and language. All speakers and participants are ready to join a moment of knowledge and experience sharing together.

Asst.Prof Rattapong Angkasith; Ph.D., Co-chairman of organizing the event, said that ASA Experimental Design Competition has opened a floor to any interested architects, designers, students and more to submit their works for competition, with a keyword of “touch” by taking Bangkok as the case study to find out similarity in difference. Additional exhibitions have included such as the exhibition of winning award for Architectural Conservation in 2024, exhibition of ASA Architectural Design Award, VERNADOC and exhibitions from educational institutions and more.

Mr.Supaman Munka, general manager of TTF International Co., Ltd, the organizer of Architect’24, voiced his confidence that it will draw attention from over 1,000 exhibitors, increasing by 9.4%, with 30% of them from foreign partners. Meanwhile, a number of visitors is expected to reach over 325,000, with 6.25% increased. Currently, 90%, or 25,381 square metre of total space have been already sold, which is 8.5% higher than last year.

Thematic Pavilion, which is one of the highlight of exposition showcasing collaborative potentials of building material suppliers and emerging designers, is divided into three pavilion this year.

  • S-ONE (S-ONE Aluminum Grotto), designed by HAS design and research that uses industrial materials such as aluminum to create a space that reflects the natural characteristics in a new form, stimulating people’s perception and coexistence between industrial products and the search for natural spaces in today’s society.
  • Wilsonart (Laminates and Engineered Surface), designed by pbm that takes 700 pieces of laminates painted with each different colors and pattern for embroidering a story of relations between materials and nature. The display zone has shared “CONNEX” with Thematic and exhibiting space
  • SKI (Tools and home improvement online store), designed by anonym studio that has inspired by a huge and high wall of warehouse, with its functions divided by colors and scale of height. The window frame is in a perfect position to see the products inside. The wall line ended with curve shape has guided the visitors for walking into the main pavilion.

Furthermore, many latest innovations of building materials from leading brand are ready to unveil to the public. For example

Architect’24 under the theme of “Collective Language” is scheduled to happen in April 30th – May 5th, 2024 at 10.00 am. – 20.00 pm. at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
