Asiatique The Riverfront Destination named  “Prototype of Safety Zone for Tourists” in the “Man-Made Attraction” category by the Department of Tourism

ASIATIQUE The Riverfront Destination was chosen due to its remarkable implementation in cleaning, hygiene and safety standards, and recognition in being fair to tourists and visitors, ticking all the boxes of requirements set forth by the DOT.

“Prototype of Safety Zone for Tourists” is a project initiated by the Department of Tourism with the aim to enhance the image and confidence in tourist attractions across Thailand by identifying the prototype of tourism attraction in 5 categories; natural tourism, commercial areas, man-made attractions, city areas and community tourism, where a preparedness and response plan is implemented to accommodate tourists in the age of “New Normal” and uplift the Thai tourism industry after recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. These prototypes will serve as a model for promoting quality tourism with essential cleaning and hygiene and safety standards while being fair to tourists.

The event, recently held at ASIATIQUE The Riverfront Destination, was presided over by Mr. Boonserm Khankaew (3rd left), Deputy Director-General of the Department of Tourism, and joined by representatives of the five prototypes tourist attractions ; Mr. Mana Kamonthanese (2nd left), Representative of natural tourism attraction (Bangsan Beach, Chonburi); Ms. Rada Phetkhan (4th left), Representative of city area tourism attraction (Nan Province); Mr. Somsak Inthachai (5th left), Representative of community area tourism attraction (Ban Rai Kong King, Chiangmai) and Ms. Arthitaya Khokkitmanatchai (far right), Representative of commercial area tourism attraction (Yaowarat Road, Bangkok).
