Informa Markets Presents International Healthcare Week 2026, Capturing the THB 1.3 Trillion Healthcare and Wellness Megatrend
Informa Markets will host International Healthcare Week 2026, a major regional conference and exhibition that brings together three leading industry events across the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors: CPHI South East Asia (CPHI), World Health Expo (WHX) Bangkok, and Medtec Southeast Asia. The event will take place from July 8–10, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Hall 1–3 and Hall 5-8.
International Healthcare Week 2026 will showcase a wide range of products, technologies, in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Medical devices and Medtech Industries from around the world. The event will also serve as a strategic platform for industry professionals to explore new business opportunities, participate in workshops, training sessions, seminars, and symposiums, and gain valuable market insights.
The exhibition underscores Informa Markets’ commitment to advancing Thailand’s healthcare and wellness industry while supporting its continued growth as a globally competitive sector.
The wellness economy is emerging as a powerful new economic driver. Recent data from the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) indicates that the global wellness economy continues to experience strong and sustained growth. Its value increased from US$6.8 trillion in 2024 to US$7.3 trillion in 2025 and is projected to reach US$7.9 trillion in 2026. Looking ahead, the sector is forecast to expand to US$9.8 trillion by 2029, significantly outpacing overall global economic growth. At the same time, its share of global GDP is expected to rise steadily.

In Thailand, the wellness economy is currently valued at approximately THB 1.2–1.3 trillion, reflecting a 28% increase compared with 2022. This robust expansion is driven largely by evolving consumer behavior and a growing health-conscious mindset. Wellness is no longer viewed as a passing trend, but as an integrated approach that shifts the focus from treatment to prevention, with an emphasis on longevity and sustainable health.
Ms. Rungphech Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director – ASEAN, Informa Markets, stated that consumers worldwide are placing greater emphasis on health promotion, increasingly seeking evidence-based research and professional medical advice. As Thailand transitions into an aging society, there is a growing focus on prevention, effective treatment, and longevity.
At the same time, businesses across multiple industries are responding to this shift by introducing new products, services, and innovative technologies tailored to evolving health and wellness needs. Collectively, these factors are significantly accelerating the expansion of the wellness economy.

“As the organizer of International Healthcare Week 2026, we have clearly witnessed the strong momentum of this megatrend,” said Ms. Rungphech. “Significant opportunities are emerging for both Thai and international businesses to expand and create added value across the healthcare and wellness ecosystem. Medical professionals, pharmacists, medical technologists, researchers, manufacturers, and investors will find the event to be a vital platform for staying informed about the latest technologies and medical innovations showcased during the exhibition.”
International Healthcare Week 2026 comprises three co-located events. CPHI South East Asia 2026 is ASEAN’s leading exhibition and conference for pharmaceutical technology and products. World Health Expo (WHX) Bangkok 2026 serves as a premier international platform for professionals in medical equipment, laboratory technology, healthcare systems, and hospital services across the region. Completing the lineup is Medtec Southeast Asia 2026, a leading international exhibition and conference dedicated to medical device design and manufacturing in ASEAN.
“This marks a significant milestone for Thailand in hosting International Healthcare Week 2026. The event is expected to accelerate the advancement of the country’s pharmaceutical and medical device industries, particularly in technology, innovation, and investment, in alignment with evolving healthcare trends. It will also contribute to strengthening a more sustainable public health system across the region,” said Ms. Rungphech.
Spanning 26,000 square meters, the exhibition will showcase the latest products and innovations from more than 950 exhibitors worldwide. Over 15,000 cutting-edge solutions will be presented, ranging from AI-powered medical technologies and robotics to pharmaceutical advancements and laboratory solutions.
The event will also feature more than 125 conferences and symposiums led by industry experts, providing updates on key trends in pharmaceuticals, medical technology, hospital management, and digital health.
International Healthcare Week 2026 is expected to attract over 26,000 attendees, including manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and distributors, importers and exporters, investors, purchasing professionals, researchers, engineers, doctors, nurses, medical professionals, medical technologists, and pharmacists.
Business negotiations and strategic discussions held throughout the event are anticipated to generate new opportunities for companies and investors alike. As such, International Healthcare Week 2026 serves as a key platform for Thai and international businesses to explore potential partnerships, foster collaboration, and unlock new avenues for growth.
“The government has prioritized the promotion of Thailand’s wellness economy, with the ambition of positioning the country among the world’s top five wellness hubs. At the same time, the private sector continues to invest across all health and wellness segments, as reflected in the sector’s strong expansion. International Healthcare Week 2026 therefore represents a must-attend opportunity for businesses and investors of all sizes,” added Ms. Rungphech.
International Healthcare Week 2026 will be held from July 8-10, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Hall 1-3, G Floor, and Hall 5-8 on LG floor. For more information about the event, please visit https://inthealthcareweek.com
